Joann Dickson

EDEO
candidate for priesthood
My name is Joann. I'm in the process of retiring after 26 years in the public school system. I'm a candidate for the priesthood in the Episcopal Diocese of Eastern Oregon, and I have a passion for evangelism! I designed and directed a public school theatre program for 10 years. I have a vision of the dramatic arts as a deeply moving way to tell God's love story. I am very interested in studying the Hebrew language and culture in Biblical times in order to better understand and relate to how the people understood the Scriptures and Jesus' presence with them. I want to learn ways to serve our communities holistically, and to encourage the Church to be a more active presence. I recently became a crisis response volunteer.
