Well-planned student discussions foster critical thinking, develop student communication skills, and encourage collaboration amongst all students. Join us to learn several discussion methods, as well as ways to scaffold student preparation and participation, and build student comfort and confidence. Practice implementing these scaffolded structures and discussion methods in small groups. Receive feedback from your peers and the facilitator. Leave the workshop with an implementation plan and a toolbox of practical strategies and resources to implement these discussions in your classroom.
